Beran Conference 2026 Day One…And Why This Time It’s Different
All the latest developments from the cutting edge of vibration monitoring technology
Beran Conference 2026 launched today, bringing together leading industry experts to share exclusive insights into the future of vibration monitoring technology.
The two-day conference – only the fifth of its kind in 17 years – is for the first time being held at Beran HQ in Torrington, North Devon, UK.
This year we’re doing something different,” said Duncan Affleck, Beran’s Global Sales and Business Development Manager.
Previous conferences were held at grand historic venues but this time we have invited delegates into our world. They are meeting the teams that design, build and support the systems.
With practical case studies from engineers across power generation and utilities – along with live demonstrations of our PlantProtech™ condition monitoring and protection systems – our guests will leave with genuinely useful insights to take back to their own operations.
Day One of the Beran Conference 2026 included:
- PlantProtech™ vibration systems – describing the development journey from the PlantProtech 766 Analyser to PlantProtech 7600 PCMS systems now and beyond.
- Rik Geerdink, In2ViBa – exploring whether balancing data alone is sufficient to identify the presence of a steam turbine rotor crack.
- New Software Developments: PlantProtech™ 7600 PCMS V4.5.0 – a deep dive into new software developments, QSAM for monitoring static process and digital inputs.
- Cybersecurity in Condition Monitoring – an overview of cybersecurity requirements and considerations, including CVM, EASA and NIS2 for aerospace and industrial applications.
- Aditya Manoj, SSE Thermal – how Beran’s range of PlantProtech™ systems are used to monitor SSE Thermal’s CCGT fleet, including lessons from a recent PlantProtech™ 7600 upgrade.
- Josh Lovatt, Cognitive Business – leveraging advanced pattern recognition in vibration monitoring.
- Neil Brinkworth (retired), Uniper Technologies Ltd – Condition Monitoring In Power Generation, a practitioner’s perspective on condition monitoring, vibration analysis and machinery diagnostics within power generation.
- Live demonstrations and a guided factory tour – including PlantProtech™ 7600 PCMS protection and condition monitoring systems and PlantProtech™ PROTOR Mobile for temporary monitoring applications.
Torrington is also home to Helitune (one of Beran’s CMTG sister companies) – a specialist in rotor track and balance for the aerospace sector.
Delegates had a demonstration of Helitune’s rotor track and balance technology, enabling them to gain further insights into state-of-the-art vibration monitoring used for rotary wing aircraft applications.
