Design and construction
The AT/04 is a general-purpose triaxial charge output vibration transducer with three charge output Konic Shear® piezoelectric sensing elements mounted orthogonally within a fully welded titanium block. The AT/04 is one of only three single-connector piezoelectric charge output triaxial accelerometers in the world, all produced by DJB Instruments. This is enabled by DJB’s low-noise 4-core cable assemblies, designed to help reduce triboelectric noise effects.
Using an industry-standard ¼-28 UNF 4-pin connector, the AT/04 is available with standard or ruggedised cable options and three BNC-labelled breakout leads. The AT/04 includes an integrated ceramic isolating base to provide complete ground isolation, making it well suited to automotive and aerospace test environments.
