Instrumented Impact Hammer IH-50 - 50kN Range
The IH-50 is a high-force instrumented impact hammer designed for structural health testing, resonance determination and modal analysis on very heavy structures and components. With an integrated IEPE piezoelectric force sensor and optional additional mass, it provides controlled, repeatable excitation for demanding test environments.
Description
The IH-50 is a high-force instrumented impact hammer designed for structural health testing, resonance determination and modal analysis. Rated for very heavy-duty testing, it is well suited to excitation of large structures and components where high impact energy is required.
The hammer incorporates an internal IEPE piezoelectric force sensor that outputs a voltage signal directly. Each IH-50 is supplied as a complete kit, including a cable and a selection of interchangeable tips to suit different materials, structures and testing requirements.
The IH-50 features a BNC terminating connector and can be supplied with an optional additional mass that attaches to the rear of the hammer head. Impact pulse width and frequency response vary depending on the hammer head configuration and tip selection, and should be verified based on actual test conditions.
