Fleet-wide CCGT condition monitoring with Beran PlantProtech™ from SSE Thermal's Asset Monitoring Centre

We are pleased to confirm that Aditya Manoj, Condition Monitoring Engineer at SSE Thermal, will be presenting at Beran Conference 2026 at Beran HQ in Torrington, North Devon, on 1 and 2 July 2026.

Aditya is based at SSE Thermal's Asset Monitoring Centre in Leeds, which he joined full-time in September 2024 following a two-year engineering graduate scheme with the company. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Chennai, and brings additional experience from a Computational Fluid Dynamics internship before joining SSE Thermal.

Working at the Asset Monitoring Centre, Aditya applies Beran PlantProtech™ tools to the condition monitoring of SSE Thermal's combined cycle gas turbine fleet on a daily basis, developing asset-specific monitoring strategies and using vibration analysis to detect early signs of abnormal behaviour.

Presentation: Monitoring SSE Thermal's CCGT Fleet with Beran PlantProtech™

Aditya's session at Beran Conference 2026 will cover how Beran tools are applied in practice across SSE Thermal's CCGT fleet, including the use of PlantProtech™ Vision for detailed data analysis and early anomaly detection, the role of the Alarms Manager application in daily triage and diagnosis, and lessons learned from a recent upgrade to PlantProtech™ 7600 PCMS at one of SSE Thermal's sites.

It is a practical, user-led perspective on fleet-wide condition monitoring strategy that will be directly relevant to anyone managing rotating plant across multiple assets or sites.
