Join us at Beran HQ in Torrington, North Devon, on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 July 2026 for the Beran Conference 2026.

This free-to-attend, in-person event brings together engineers, analysts, developers, users and industry specialists for two days of practical learning, real-world case studies and direct access to the people behind Beran's condition monitoring technology.

Please note: this is an in-person event only. Sessions will not be streamed online, and recordings will not be made available after the event.

A technical case study exploring whether balancing data alone is sufficient to conclude the presence of a steam turbine rotor crack, and what other indicators should be monitored.

A look at how Beran tools are applied to monitor vibration across SSE Thermal's fleet of combined cycle gas turbines, including asset-specific monitoring strategies, PlantProtech™ Vision analysis, Alarms Manager triage and lessons from a recent PlantProtech™ 7600 PCMS upgrade.

Delegates will take part in a series of live demonstrations and a guided factory tour, split into groups. Demonstration stations include:

  • PlantProtech™ 7600 PCMS demonstration
  • PlantProtech™ 7600 PCMS protection system demonstration

A detailed investigation into high-frequency vibration and noise from emergency boiler feed pump pipework, including instrumentation using Beran PlantProtech™ PROTOR Mobile, measurement and analysis.

Drawing on decades of turbomachinery troubleshooting experience, this session explores oil whirl and oil whip instabilities, fluid film bearing behaviour and methods for controlling instability.

A practical case study covering a severe rubbing condition during a steam turbine restart after an outage, including what was observed, how the risk was assessed, and the steps taken to resolve the issue.
