DJB Instruments now offers TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) as an option on the majority of our voltage output IEPE sensors. TEDS-enabled accelerometers include a microchip that stores essential calibration and identification data, streamlining your setup and reducing human error.

What is TEDS?

TEDS is part of the IEEE 1451.4 standard, allowing sensors to self-identify and automatically provide calibration information. This includes:

  • Manufacturer
  • Model number
  • Serial number
  • Sensitivity and units
  • Calibration data
  • Measurement range

  • DAQ systems that support IEEE 1451.4 (e.g, Prosig DATS-tetrad)
  • DAQ software capable of reading TEDS data

Most modern DAQ setups now support TEDS integration, making it easier than ever to get started.
