New tapped base miniature triaxial accelerometer launched

DJB enhances mounting flexibility with a compact, tapped-base triaxial sensor

DJB Instruments UK Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of a tapped base version of its popular miniature triaxial accelerometer: the AT/10 (IEPE type) and AT/01 (charge type). Previously only available with adhesive mounting, these low-mass triaxials can now be stud-mounted, increasing versatility without sacrificing compact design.

Enhanced mounting without bulk

The updated model introduces a 5-40 UNC tapped hole, compatible with DJB’s SM/01 mounting stud and the IS range of isolated mounting options. Impressively, this has been achieved with just a 1mm increase in height, keeping the unit among the most compact of its type on the global market.

Durable, high-performance construction

Machined in titanium and fully welded for strength and reliability, the AT/10/TB and AT/01/TB maintain DJB’s unique Konic Shear® design, offering three fully independent sensing elements and IEPE circuits in the AT/10 version. The sensors also retain the industry-standard ¼-28 UNF 4-pin connector, helping reduce cable costs and enabling support via DJB’s cable repair service.

A trusted design, refined

DJB’s Managing Director, commented:

The AT/10 and AT/01 are among our most popular products, and this enhancement has been achieved with minimal dimensional change — a testament to DJB’s innovative approach.

Available now

The AT/10/TB and AT/01/TB models are available to order, with IEPE sensitivities up to 100mV/g and charge sensitivities up to 2pC/g.
