Beran Conference 2024: A comprehensive event roundup

The Beran Conference 2024, held at Chatsworth House from 25–26 September, brought together global leaders, innovators and experts in condition monitoring. Over two days, attendees took part in technical presentations, real-world case studies and exclusive software previews, with networking opportunities throughout one of the UK's most iconic venues.

- Charlotte Hone (Product Development Manager, Beran) — overview of PCMS: The Next Generation, including recent updates and future product roadmap
- Roger van Velzen (Software Team Leader, Beran) — exclusive preview of PlantProtech™ Vision Software, covering enhanced user interfaces, performance improvements and customisable dashboards
- Simon Carr (System Engineer: Turbine and Auxiliaries, Heysham 2 Power Station) and Chris Gilroy (Dynamics Technical Lead and SME, EDF Energy) — case study on the return to service of a 660MW unit using 3D scanning technology to resolve severe vibration issues
- Douglas Graham (Operations Director, Beran) — PlantProtech™ PCMS Protection Modules, configuration systems and data flow optimisation

Set against the backdrop of Chatsworth House, the conference provided ample opportunity for attendees to connect with peers and exchange ideas with industry leaders in a relaxed and distinctive setting.
Looking ahead to 2026
Following the success of the 2024 event, the Beran Conference will return on 1–2 July 2026, this time hosted at Beran HQ in Torrington, Devon — offering an even more hands-on experience with factory tours, live demonstrations and direct access to the Beran engineering and software teams.
