Presentation title
High-frequency vibration of emergency boiler feed pump pipework
Presentation abstract
During an infrequently performed test at an EDF Energy site, operators noted a loud, high-pitched noise emanating from the emergency boiler feed pump pipework. Central Dynamics was asked to investigate the source of the noise and establish whether damage was occurring. This presentation covers the full investigative process: instrumentation installation using a Beran PlantProtech™ PROTOR Mobile, measurement of the noise, and analysis of the results.
