DATS-tetrad

Record anywhere, with or without a PC

A rugged, portable data acquisition system with up to 32 channels. Battery powered, MIL-STD tested and stackable to over 1,000 channels.

Description

The DATS-tetrad is a rugged, portable data acquisition system with up to 32 high-speed analogue inputs. A built-in processor and solid-state storage mean it can record standalone, with no PC needed, or you can connect a laptop or PC for real-time monitoring and data capture.

Built for flexibility, the DATS-tetrad works as a standalone recorder, a classic front end or part of a distributed system, from 4 to over 1,000 channels.

Key benefits

  • Accurate, repeatable measurements
  • Operates standalone without a PC
  • Portable, with battery power
  • Rugged and MIL-STD tested
  • Simple capture and analysis with DATS software
  • Stack DATS-tetrads for higher channel counts
  • Optional built-in GPS

Sensors and inputs

A wide range of input options is available, including microphones, accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, load, pressure and force sensors, tachometers, rotary encoders, digital I/O and CAN bus. Analogue and digital outputs are also available, with open- and closed-loop control options.

The DATS-tetrad can measure:

  • Vibration, shock and impact
  • Acoustics
  • Displacement, position and proximity
  • Strain, force, load and torque
  • Pressure and temperature
  • Tachometers, rotary encoders and photoelectric sensors
  • CAN bus

It works with any suitable IEPE, charge, temperature, bridge or powered sensor.

Connect and power your way

Hassle-free, zero-configuration Gigabit Ethernet and USB connections let you link to a laptop or PC. The DATS-tetrad can be powered from mains, from a vehicle supply or from its optional internal battery, giving up to four hours of operation depending on configuration.

Measurement modules

The DATS-tetrad can be configured with up to four modules from the measurement card range:
