Expanded sensor offering includes monoaxial, biaxial, and triaxial MEMS options with ultra-low noise performance
Extending the DJB range with DC-capable MEMS technology
DJB Instruments UK Ltd has launched a new range of DC response MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) accelerometers, designed to complement and extend its existing portfolio of piezoelectric and IEPE accelerometers. This strategic expansion supports the growing demand in test and measurement applications for sensors that can measure very low frequencies, including 0 Hz.
While piezoelectric accelerometers remain the go-to solution for high-frequency vibration testing, MEMS sensors fill the gap for applications requiring static or slowly varying acceleration measurements.
What makes MEMS accelerometers different?
The new MEMS accelerometers are DC coupled, allowing accurate measurement from 0 Hz up to 800 Hz. This enables the monitoring of continuous acceleration, such as the sustained ‘g’ forces experienced during high-speed automotive manoeuvres, structural tilt, or vehicle dynamics testing.
Product highlights
- Available configurations: monoaxial, biaxial, and triaxial
- Measurement ranges: ±2g, ±5g, ±10g, ±20g, ±50g
- Ultra-low noise variants for high-resolution applications
- Construction: rugged, lightweight, anodised aluminium housing
