Helitune named runner-up for International Trader of the Year
We're proud to share that Helitune has been named runner-up for International Trader of the Year at the 27th annual North Devon Manufacturing Awards, on a night when our group, CMTG, was named Manufacturer of the Year.
The awards took place on Thursday 15 October at The Pier House, bringing together businesses, apprentices, educators and community partners from across the region to celebrate the very best of North Devon manufacturing.
Recognising our export business
The International Trader award celebrates North Devon businesses that take their products and expertise to customers around the world. Being recognised in this category reflects the hard work of the team behind our export business, and the global reach of what we do from our home in Torrington.
Helitune's rotor track and balance and vibration monitoring systems support aircraft operators worldwide, and this recognition is a great reminder of how much of that work starts right here in North Devon.
A night of success for CMTG
As part of CMTG, Helitune shares in the group's Manufacturer of the Year award, the top award of the night, sponsored by North Devon College. It recognises the whole Torrington team, from the shop floor and engineering to quality, purchasing, stores, sales and support.
This award belongs to every one of our people. To be singled out among so many excellent North Devon manufacturers is something we should all be genuinely proud of, and I want to thank the whole team for their effort and commitment.
Tim Puttick, General Manager, CMTG
There was more to celebrate too, with Josh Parr named runner-up for Apprentice of the Year. Congratulations, Josh!
Thank you
Congratulations to all this year's winners and runners-up, and thank you to the North Devon Manufacturers Association, North Devon College, and all the award sponsors. The evening's raffle also raised over £1,200 for North Devon Hospice.
