The Prosig story

From the University of Southampton in 1977 to a global network of partners today.

Prosig was founded in 1977 by members of the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) at the University of Southampton, with one aim: to give customers the best available hardware and software for noise and vibration measurement.

Growing with our customers

Our UK headquarters in Fareham was completed in 1982, and Prosig USA, Inc. followed in 1986. In 2001, we opened an engineering centre in Detroit to give dedicated support to customers in the region.

In 2014, Prosig became part of the Condition Monitoring Technology Group (CMTG), bringing Prosig's heritage and expertise together with the wider group's technologies and knowledge, to the benefit of both existing and new customers.

Today, Prosig works with a network of partners supporting customers across Europe, North America, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and South America. Our focus has never changed: reliable, high-quality, integrated measurement systems that help test engineers achieve best practice with the latest tools.
