Slideshow headers for each brand
The slideshow headers are managed through the Custom Block Library in Drupal. Each brand has its own dedicated slideshow, which can contain up to three slides. It is recommended to use only one or two slides where possible to avoid overwhelming visitors, as sliders can sometimes be frustrating for users.
Best practices for slideshow headers
- Keep it simple – Avoid unnecessary slides, and don’t duplicate content already featured on the homepage.
- Recommended slides:
- Who we are – A short introduction to the brand.
- Product focus – Highlight key product ranges.
- Newsworthy update (optional) – Feature an event, new product launch, or special announcement.
Design considerations
- Each header can have a background or foreground image.
- Text can be placed on a box background or directly on the image.
- Choose images that have ample space on the left side for copy placement.
- Button links: Use a clear call to action (CTA) that directs visitors to relevant sections.
- Character limits: Drupal does not have a built-in character cap for these sections, so always check the copy visually after making changes to ensure it fits properly.
