The role
We are looking for an Electronics Hardware Engineer based at our Torrington facility. You will be joining a multi-functional team within an engineering organisation with strong links across industry and academia, where a combination of world-class, highly innovative products, robust engineering processes, and use of the latest technologies combine to support our customers, operating within some of the most highly regulated industries and aerospace sectors worldwide.

Purpose
As an Electronics Hardware Engineer working at CMTG you will have the opportunity to both support our range of existing products and shape the future of the products you are tasked to develop, within either the Helitune or Beran portfolios. You will own the design, development, and verification activities, ensuring the needs of the customer are met.
Responsibilities
- To take ownership of electronics hardware engineering activities and outcomes and be able to effectively work with all functions of the business, to ensure the successful delivery of tasks
- To take an active role in continuous improvement activities
- To carry out and record the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) necessary to maintain and enhance competence in Electronics Engineering
Experience
Essential
- A passion for electronics engineering
- Demonstrable problem-solving attitude
- Hands-on, digital, analogue, power electronics, PCB design, and development experience
- Knowledge of PCB layout and schematic capture tools with Altium being preferred
Desirable
- Appreciation of design and development for EMC compliance
- Understanding FPGA and VHDL design and verification would be beneficial
- Through lifecycle development experience, from requirements capture, design, and development, to verification and in-service support
- Experience working within a high integrity, highly regulated industry such as aerospace, defence, or automotive
Qualifications
Qualified to Degree level in Electronics Engineering.
